Don’t Worry About Parking The Armadillo-T,Just Fold It Away

The innovative team at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology have developed a foldable micro all-electric car that they have named the Armadillo-T. Parking in a dense urban metropolis would be a piece of cake but don’t expect it to do the school run and carry a weeks worth of shopping.
Armadillo-T electric car
Although this little car is ideal for nipping around a busy city, it carries only two people, has a 13.6 kWh battery and a top speed of just 40mph, so not much to get excited about. However, once you exit the Armadillo-T it shrinks from 110 inches to 65 inches by folding its tail over its top, all with a little help from a smart phone.
Once you have selected a space and exited the car, you open an app on your phone, fold the Armadillo and then you can park it remotely thanks to the super short wheelbase and four independently controlled wheels that can turn it 360 degrees on a small coin.
Despite the fact that it is really interesting and almost cute to look at, unfortunately the chances of this innovative piece of design coming into production are as tiny as the spaces it can park in.
